May Ritual Recap: Mutations, Visions, and the Power of Sound

May was a potent month for ritual, art, and shadow communion!

We began with Alternafetiche, the official World Goth Day Afterparty held at Fitigogo Gallery—a night pulsing with dark elegance and raw creative expression. The space was alive with live music, burlesque, fetish installations, evocative dark art, and a curated selection of underground vendors.

I had the honor of debuting a new performance piece titled "Sex Tourism on the Island of Dr. Moreau"—a descent into erotic mutation, inspired by the surreal horrors of transformation and desire. The work wove together butoh-infused movement, symbolic blood ritual, and the erotic grotesque, inviting the audience to peer into the primal dance between pleasure and monstrosity.

Then, Dark Ambient Sound Bath returned with Scrying at Black Wall Gallery. This was one of our most resonant events yet, with a powerful collective energy present in the room. Ritual guidance flowed seamlessly into the immersive soundscapes conjured by Kenneth Cornell, whose performance brought a depth and stillness ideal for inner visioning. Patrons shared stories of the images they received through the scrying vessels—visions formed from the interplay of black water and flame, offering messages, archetypes, and shadows to engage with in the liminal space.

We’re grateful to all who attended and contributed their energy.

📅 Mark your calendars: the next Dark Ambient Sound Bath will be held July 20th at Black Wall Gallery. Expect deeper descent, new sonic attunements, and expanded ritual offerings.

🌿 In celebration of the season, we’re also offering Midsommar Ritual Grab Bags, now available through our web store. These are limited-edition, handcrafted offerings of tools and talismans to support your personal practice. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

See you in the shadows. Let the visions speak.
